Yanuziello Resophonic guitars blend 1930s-inspired design with modern refinement, offering exceptional tone, responsiveness, and thoughtful craftsmanship in both square and round neck styles.
Now here is a true rarity - a Yanuziello resonator guitar! We've only had one other one pass through the shop years ago and it sold almost immediately.
Yanuziello Resophonics are deeply inspired by the wooden resonator guitars of the 1930s, but they’re far from replicas. Each one reflects Joe Yanuziello’s thoughtful updates to a classic design, resulting in instruments that feel vintage in spirit but refined in tone and response. We can't stress enough how easily this instrument plays. Throw out anything you know about resonators - this beauty plays like a steel string acoustic. Amazing.
At the heart of these guitars is a uniquely engineered lightweight soundwell, designed to improve airflow within the body chamber and support the resonator cone without adding unnecessary mass. Large openings in the soundwell help the guitar breathe and resonate freely, while maintaining the strength needed to handle reso string tension.
Like a banjo, the neck extends into the body with an integral pole, creating a mechanically solid neck joint that enhances both stability and tone transfer.
Yanuziello also builds his resophonic bodies slightly deeper than vintage examples, giving the instruments a broader, more balanced tonal range - not just more low end, but more everything.
Simply put, these are beautifully considered instruments designed for players who want tradition and innovation to live side by side.
