Product information

Powerful, stellar Campanella A-style just in—an exceptionally strong example from the renowned, Idaho-based luthier

Joe Campanella Cleary builds exquisite, sonorous mandolins that draw deeply on violin design and aesthetics. While his use of overhung violin edges and deep, earthy colors visually distinguish his instruments, the most exciting aspect of Campanella mandolins is their sound.

Aided by its European spruce top and tone bar bracing, this Campanella A style has some serious pop, focus and power. Appointments include a James tailpiece, Grover tuners, Campanella's signature bell headstock inlay in abalone, and an ebony pickguard.

We were very impressed with this mandolin when it was new. Now back here in trade after a few seasons in the world, it sounds even better!

Includes Bobelock violin-style hard case. *Video shows a previously sold example.
