In short, this is a true “super Strat” that keeps its vintage soul intact.

The Grosh NOS Retro nails the look and a bit of the feel of a vintage Strat, but with the kind of refinement and playability that only Don Grosh and his small team brings to the table.

The medium/large neck carve paired with a 10" radius strikes a perfect balance: it feels substantial but never bulky, and it plays effortlessly. Add Grosh’s consistently immaculate fretwork, and you’ve got a neck that makes this guitar hard to put down.

Acoustically, it rings out with clarity, volume, and a snappy response. Plug it in, and it opens up into a truly versatile instrument, thanks in part to the split-able humbucker (via the middle push/pull tone knob) in the bridge and the clever blend control on the second tone knob.

Translation? No thin or brittle bridge tones here. You get thick, compressed, punchy leads, and all the chime and "cluck" you'd expect from a Strat in the other positions, just with more tonal flexibility than most guitars in this style offer.

If you're after a Super Strat-style guitar that delivers classic sounds with modern comfort - and can handle just about anything you throw at it - this one’s ready.

This guitar was purchased through TME a few years back, and just recently came through on trade. It sold so fast the first time we got it that we didn't get the chance to photograph and list it, so this is the first time it's being offered on the site. It's some some light signs of use (light buckle rash, some pick wear, small dings), but it's been very well maintained.
