Product information

Behold! One of Fender's most sophisticated Stratocaster variants ever - The Elite Stratocaster!

Born out of a desire to compete with the EMG-loaded Jacksons and similar guitars of the time, the Elite Stratocaster brought big frets, active electronics, and a more modern feel to the iconic model under Dan Smith's tenure.

This is a lovely sounding and playing first-year example in the classic Natural finish with Maple neck and Ash body. It has been very well maintained, showing fairly light signs of use throughout. During an era where guitar modification was rampant, this Elite Strat remains surprisingly original.

The only exception is the the absence of the optional locking nut (those mounting holes are not aftermarket additions!). There's some light fret wear mainly in the first position, but the original Jumbo frets still show plenty of life. All other hardware and plastics are original to the guitar.
