Product information

An almost encyclopedic example of a closet find, this 1973 Fender Vibrolux Reverb quite literally rolled through the last few decades untouched.

1973 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in 100% original condition just into the shop!

Silverface Era Fenders - like their older siblings - often saw tons of use. Reliable, well built, easy to service, and with great sound, models like this Vibrolux Reverb have been go-to working musician's amps for decades. So it's often a bit jarring when we come in contact with an example like this that has just...well...sat unused.

Complete with its original slipcover, this '73 Vibrolux Reverb has "time capsule" written all over it. Incredibly clean tolex, grill cloth, and faceplate, original Oxford speakers, and even a host of original tubes.

The only really change from factory? A set of casters installed long ago. Maybe the amp did see some use after all, but one could certainly make a case that it only got wheeled from the bedroom to the living room and into the garage. There's no club grime or beer can stains to deal with on this one!

As we always do with vintage amp acquisitions, we sent this beauty over to Stan Day for a proper servicing, which included a recap, replacing tubes, and cleaning of the tube sockets, pots, etc. It's running great and sounding glorious, with a truly excellent spring reverb and nice punchy voice that only a pair of 10" speakers seem to illicit in this circuit.

Original footswitch included.

**Please Note: All vintage amplifiers - regardless of service history - contain electronic components that will eventually require replacement or repair. This is often unpredictable and should be expected as a vintage amplifier owner. We are not responsible for additional service upon receipt. We also do not guarantee tube life.**
