Guitar Strings

Strings are the one part of a guitar you replace again and again, and they make a bigger difference to how an instrument sounds and feels than most players give them credit for. We have spent a lot of time listening to guitars in the shop, and a fresh set in the right gauge and alloy can wake up an instrument in a way that is hard to believe until you hear it.

That is why we keep our string selection focused on sets we use and trust ourselves. From D’Addario, we carry the EJ16 and EJ17 phosphor bronze sets that have been go-to acoustic strings for generations of players, along with the EXL110, one of the most widely played electric sets out there. Stringjoy, a small company out of Nashville, makes some of our favorite strings for both acoustic and electric. Their Naturals and Foxwoods are warm, balanced phosphor bronze sets, and their Signatures, Broadways, and coated Orbiters cover everything from bright, modern nickel to the softer, vintage voice of pure nickel. And for acoustic players who want the strings Martin puts on its own guitars, we stock Martin Authentic Acoustic sets as well.

If you are not sure which set is right for your guitar, give us a call or stop by. We are always happy to talk through gauges, materials, and what might work best for the way you play.
