At its heart, the Burnside runs on a pair of 6L6s pushing 28 watts, with a GZ34 tube rectifier and a 12AY7 in the preamp (which can be swapped for a 12AX7 for more gain). The simple yet highly interactive control layout features a Bright switch, Volume, Treble, Bass, and Presence, all of which work together in a way that makes dialing in tones incredibly intuitive.

Like a great old tweed amp, the gain is as much about touch as it is about settings—dig in, and it growls; lighten up, and it cleans right up. Cranking the bass control unleashes that thick low-end response that makes tweeds so addictive.
