Ron Thorn first introduced his Staple Top GT-90 back in 2007 as the stock pickup for his Junior-Ninety model, and they’ve been a favorite ever since.
Using AlNiCo 5 rectangular staple poles instead of traditional bar magnets, the GT-90s offer greater definition and clarity. The neck model is clear and articulate with enough punch to balance beautifully with the GT-90 bridge, or even a humbucker, while the bridge delivers all the growl and grind you’d expect from a great P-90, with an extra dose of presence to cut through the mix.
Non-adjustable poles mean they’ll drop right into any P-90 route, and they’re available with black or cream covers.
Average DC resistance: 7.9k (neck), 9.0k (bridge).
