Ron Thorn first introduced his Staple Top GT-90 back in 2007 as the stock pickup for his Junior-Ninety model, and they’ve been a favorite ever since.

Built around AlNiCo 5 rectangular staple poles, the GT-90s deliver a level of clarity and definition you won’t find in typical bar-magnet P-90s. The neck model is open, articulate, and balanced - yet powerful enough to pair seamlessly with the GT-90 bridge or even a humbucker.

Non-adjustable poles mean they’ll drop right into any P-90 route, and they’re available with black or cream covers.

Ron Thorn is regarded in guitar circles as a builder's builder. He's been Fender's sole inlay artist since 1995, led Fender's Custom Shop for 5 years as Principal Master Builder, and has produced his own line of guitars under the Thorn name since 2000.
