Don't be fooled into thinking this is just another Tele-style guitar - this G/T is so much more.

We've always said we have the best job ever, and we mean it. We work directly with the best instrument makers working today, spec guitars with them, share our love of these instruments with our friends/customers...yeah, we know. Rough life.

There is one snag though. Sometimes you fall in love with a guitar - and we mean, hard - but your wallet doesn't quite agree. This Thorn G/T is one of those guitars - meaning, we'd own it in a heartbeat if our current circumstances allowed.

Yes and no, my friend. Yes and no. When someone like Ron Thorn is tweaking an iconic design like this, it isn't just for giggles. It's to pull every last drop of tone, feel, playability, and aesthetics he can pull before calling it good. There's a method to the madness, and the second you plug it in, you get it.

Plugged in to a Magnatone Twilighter, it all just clicks. You know how a really great Les Paul Custom has this incredible punch and sustain? Yes? And how a great Tele has twang, bite, and chime? Still with us? Well, roll the two together.

Yes, this G/T weighs 8lbs 4oz (which sounds heavier than it feels in hand), but if we're honest, who cares? If this is the result, we're 100% in. It's such a rewarding guitar to sit with. Ron's Brass Knuckle bridge functions a bit like a wraptail and is made of brass, so you lose none of what makes a Tele sound like a Tele - it's only gain with this G/T, nothing is lost.

The neck is perfectly shaped, frets perfectly installed...and it just rings for days. Chime. Clarity. Punch. Richness. It's all here, and it looks damned cool in the process.

So, just another Tele? No, not at all. Sound to good to be true? We get that, truly. Just give it a shot and tell us we're wrong...we'll wait.
