Santa Cruz Tony Rice Pro Brazilian (USED, 2019)
Used
Tony Rice signature specs, Brazilian Rosewood, German Sprucek, fully set up and ready to play.
Built to Tony Rice's personal specifications - German Spruce soundboard, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, narrow nut width - this is a guitar that earns its reputation before you play a note. The voice is rich and warm, with the kind of complex overtone structure and silky sustain that made Rice's sound immediately recognizable. It's also genuinely easy to play, which is rarer than it should be at this level. This guitar has seen some life. The top shows one noticeable ding between the bridge and end wedge, with minor dings in the lower bout; the back has light handling marks and button swirls. None of it affects the sound, and the guitar still looks beautiful in hand. Our shop has given it a full setup - it plays as smoothly as a dreadnought can play.
