Rickenbacker's Model 59 combines early design features with unmistakable tone that has made these lap steels some of the most highly regarded nearly 100 years later.

1930s Rickenbacker Model 59 in original Ivory crinkle finish just into the shop!

This beautiful Model 59 came in from the family of its longtime (and possibly original) owner, complete with its original chipboard case! With the legendary horseshoe pickup fixed to a stamped metal body and a single volume control, it's about as simple a design as you'll find. Yet, the tone is just absolutely incredible!

This one's been very well maintained over the years, and the original crinkle finish has held up quite well. The original tuners work nicely, and the electronics function properly. The pickup has amazing output, with a tone only these horseshoe pickups seem to possess. Big, fat, and clear with a very strong fundamental treble response that's never harsh. These pickups work equally well in clean or dirty context, with great note definition and dynamic response.

Not much else to say, really. A truly great sounding lap steel with Ric tone that never seems to go out of style.
