TME is thrilled to host the highly influential trio of Todd Phillips, David Grier, and Matt Flinner Friday evening, September 26th, 2025!

We don't think it's an overstatement to call Phillips, Grier & Flinner one of the most talented and influential trios in the history of new acoustic music -- and we couldn't be more excited to have them perform as part of our showroom concert series on September 26th, 2025, at 7:00PM.

Tickets for this event are sure to sell quickly, so grab yours today. And remember -- there are no paper tickets issued (your confirmation email is your ticket on the night of the show).

Todd Phillips (bass) is one of the founders of the new acoustic
movement. An original member of the David Grisman Quintet, he has recorded two solo albums (including the Compass release Timeframe) and has toured and recorded with countless bands and projects including The Tony Rice Unit, The Bluegrass Album Band, Joan Baez, Claire Lynch, Psychograss and the Grammy-winning True Life Blues
which he also produced.

David Grier (guitar) is one of today’s top bluegrass guitarists. He has 10 solo albums to his credit and has appeared on over 100 albums including recordings by Jerry Douglas, Alison Brown and Psychograss. He is a three-time winner of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year award. In 2000, David was recognized by Acoustic Guitar Magazine as one of the “Artists of the Decade” and his solo album "I've Got the House to Myself" was included in the "100 Essential Acoustic Guitar Recordings of All Time."

Matt Flinner (mandolin) is one of the most recognized mandolinists in bluegrass music of the last three decades. He has recorded three solo albums along with three Matt Flinner Trio albums. His 1998 solo release “The View from Here” in particular is considered a “must have” album in the acoustic music genre. In addition to his work with Phillips, Grier and Flinner, this versatile instrumentalist has toured and recorded
with Leftover Salmon (on banjo), Darrell Scott, Frank Vignola, Steve Martin, the Modern Mandolin Quartet and his own Matt Flinner Trio.
