It's no secret that effects pedal pioneer MXR has made some legendary pedals over the last half-century. If we had to name one style of effect that is their most championed, it would be their Phase lineup.

Don't get us wrong - we love a good Phase 90. It set the stage (pun intended) for classic phase effect. But moving up to the optical 10-stage Phaser in the 100 brings with it a totally different playing experience. There's more movement, depth, air, and headroom in these pedals.

This it the first script logo Phase 100 we've had in the shop, and it's a wonderful example at that. Quite clean for its 50 years of age, with an original and healthy circuit. Its previous longtime owner extended the battery leads, but left the rest of the pedal alone. No dry rotted foam, no corrosion. Pulling out the circuit board revealed a very clean original CTS pot dated to the 14th week of 1975 as well.
