Description

From its perch high up on our Martin wall, it would be easy to miss this 36-year old Martin D-28V Brazilian. But when that side wood catches your eye, with its strong grain lines and reddish hue, your curiosity now piqued, you just might pull the guitar down. Good decision! It won't take more than one strum to realize you are holding an very sweet, classic rosewood dread: powerful, clear, with an nicely aged, simultaneously warm and dry tone. A classic, straight grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides set adds overtone and dimension. The Sitka spruce top is adorned in herringbone purfling and a thin, vintage-styed pickguard. The "Vintage Series" interior label bears the signatures of both C.F. Martin III and C.F. Martin IV (Chris Martin). Condition is very clean. Playability is great too, with ample saddle height.
