This 1979 Martin D-41 is just into the shop on trade! It's a gorgeous looking guitar, with 45 years of beautiful patina to show off. And the sound is lovely as well -- the expected Martin boominess is front & center, but the voice is lush and complex as well. This would be an excellent choice for a singer-songwriter-strummer interested in a Neil Young-style guitar that won't fetch a Brazilian-Rosewood D-45 sort of premium.
Condition: this guitar was sent back to Martin for a new pickguard during the original owner's tenure. Martin also replaced the nut (with fossilized walrus ivory) and oversprayed the body finish. While there's mild finish checking in the new top coat, the guitar presents cleanly and sports a beautiful look thanks to its well-aged pearl trim. Priced with its original hard case.
