Although many vintage purists save that label for Martins made before 1970, we think it's time to adapt. This 1971 Martin D-35 would make an excellent first vintage guitar for anyone who's on such a quest. Keep in mind: this guitar is now more than 50 years old. And it carries the sort of warm, broken-in comfort new guitars don't have (you can think of these qualities in terms of tone and response). It's a very satisfying guitar to play, with a beautiful, rich voice, and the booming low end associated with a D-35.
This guitar remains in very good overall condition for an instrument its age. Our shop has just rest the neck and performed a setup. It plays easily up and down the neck, with minimal relief. The original Grover tuners have been replaced with gold Rotomatics. There are no cracks, and no significant cosmetic wear. Priced with its original thermoplastic hardshell case.
