We acquired this 1967 Martin D-28 from its original owner, a local customer who purchased it new and gigged it heavily for many decades. We should say up front that this isn't a guitar for anyone who needs mint condition. This is the consummate "player's" guitar ~ worn in the right ways, played hard, and great sounding to our ears. Anyone interested in stepping up to the coveted sound of a vintage Martin would be well served by this guitar, which has been restored by our shop and is ready for its next owner.

Our repair techs performed a neck reset, bridge replacement, refret, and glued cracks in the top and binding. The original pickguard had been replaced some time ago (though we think the tortoise one on the guitar looks better than an original black one would). All internal components are original and in good condition. We've kept the guitar with the original owner's case, though as the photos show it's a bit worse for the wear. We have new Martin dreadnought cases in stock if an upgrade is desired. Please note that expedited shipping is required at online checkout ~ interested buyers are welcome to contact us for Ground options.
