As late 1960's Martins go, this D-18 is about as desirable as they get based on sound alone. This is an exceptionally lightweight player's guitar: while it hasn't been maligned in any way, it's got more than its fair share of dings, scratches and strum wear. The saddle is on the low side, and likely can't be lowered any more (though the neck angle & playability are good, and no neck reset need be performed right now). The guitar has been outfitted for a pickup, though the wiring could easily be removed and an endpin installed. Beautiful, woody sound, that'd lend itself perfectly to a strummy country / roots band. Priced with non-original hard case (and cool Matt Umanov sticker).

  • Mahogany back & sides
  • Sitka Spruce top
  • Small maple bridge plate
  • Brazilian Rosewood bridge & fingerboard
  • Grover Tuners
  • 25.4" Scale
  • 1 11/16" string spacing
