This 1964 Martin D-18 represents a great entryway into vintage guitars for a flatpicker interested in their first old-factory instrument. It's a powerful sounding instrument, with a fat, punchy low end and bright trebles. The mids have the dry, present snap coveted by crosspickers; and this guitar would record like a dream. For a bluegrass player who doesn't mind minor issues consistent with 60 years of use, this old D-18 fits the bill and then some.

This guitar has one noticeable top crack, which has been glued & cleated internally. There's partial overspray on the top, likely done in conjunction with the crack repair. The original bridge has been reglued at some point in the past; and a clean neck reset has been performed. The tuners are single-line Klusons. Price includes non-original hardshell case.
