The Martin HD-28 is unquestionably one of the most popular guitars in our shop! In an effort to offer an upgrade without stretching to an "Authentic" level price point, we've created a Custom Shop 28-style dreadnought that incorporates all the specs of a Standard Series HD-28 but substitutes a European Spruce top for the normal Sitka. In this case, the top is Italian Spruce.
To our ears, this is a D-28, only better. The Italian Spruce top brings more stiffness to the table, imparting color of tone, clarity, snap, and a significantly more focused & clear low end. This Custom Shop take on the classic herringbone D-28 offers depth of tone that will rival a boutique guitar ~ with the modern neck profile favored by many contemporary players. Priced with hardshell case from Martin!

Every instrument is thoroughly checked and set up before shipping fully insured via UPS with tracking to your door. We reuse boxes and materials to cut waste when they meet our protection standard.
Inspect it, play it, and if it isn't right, contact us within 48 hours of delivery to arrange a return or one-time exchange. Returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee, and the buyer covers shipping both ways.
