It's incredibly rewarding to play guitars like this 1927 Martin 2-17. Their lightness of build, responsiveness, and depth of tone relative to size of body simply must be experienced to be believed. And at nearly 100 years old, it's also a marvel that they still perform their original function so beautifully.

This particular guitar is in excellent condition for its age. Its most recent owner last had it serviced at the Martin factory in 2012, where the neck was reset, new frets installed, the bridge reglued, and a side crack glued.

Our shop has freshened the setup, but the action seems to have stayed 100% stable since the aforementioned stay at Martin in 2012. We have this guitar strung with .011-.052 bronze strings, and the action sits at 7/64" (bass side) and 5/64" (treble side).
