Guitars just do not get any lovelier than this 1926 Martin 2-17. It's had a neck reset at some point in its past, as well as a bridge reglue. Several braces have been reglued as well. One small impact crack on the bass side, upper bout, has been glued and stabilized as well. All the original structural parts remain intact, and the guitar sets up very well with extra light or custom light bronze strings. This guitar is so light that a stiff gust of wind might knock it out of your lap; and it carries the kind of ethereal sustain, responsiveness and depth of tone that have had the entire TME staff saying, "There is no new guitar that sounds like THAT!" for the last week. A truly amazing little guitar. Full stop. Priced with 1970's Martin thermoplastic case, which was bought by the guitar's owner and augmented with interior padding to house it snugly. On consignment.
