This 1928 Martin 00-21 is an excellent player-grade buy for anyone interested in one of those fabled "vintage Martins with issues that still sound great." This guitar has been oversprayed, and the top coat sports the cross-grain checking you'd expect to see on such an instrument. The neck has been refinished, and the bridge plate has been replaced. And we're left asking ... well, so what? The guitar plays easily up and down the neck, remains crack free, and, it bears repeating, sounds wonderful. The voice is lush and warm, with the great depth of sound associated with a pre-war Martin flattop. Price includes non-original contemporary hardshell case.
