Martin 00-18 (1945)
Vintage
Our second current Martin 00-18 from 1945 may not be as squeaky clean a guitar as the other, but it's also a featherweight, with lovely, warm, woody sound that's got several members of the TME staff currently pining over it. The guitar has had a well executed neck reset, refret, and new nut & saddle installed. There's one well repaired top crack, but no other cracks. New tuners have also been installed. (For those interested in the ephemera, yes -- the original tuners, frets, and saddle are all with the guitar.) This 00-18 has an ebony neck reinforcement rod, which certainly contributes to its lightness, easy response and terrific sound. Now that we've gotten the housekeeping done, let's double down on that point about the sound: this is a great sounding little box, suited to pretty much any style of music and any player. If you're in the market for a great sounding vintage Martin 00 -- look no further. Priced with modern Ameritage hard case.
