The Forest Green Compressor is Mad Professor's take on a transparent, full-range compressor for guitar and bass. The circuit runs quiet across the full sweep and handles hot signals without breaking up, so humbuckers, active basses, and stacked pedals all stay clean going in.

What sets the FGC apart from most compressors at this level is the tone control. Compression naturally shifts the top end, and the FGC's tone circuit lets you dial it back in without coloring the rest of your signal - useful if you've ever felt a comp flatten your guitar's voice.

A two-mode switch covers most of what players reach for a compressor to do:

Compressor Mode: even response, smoother dynamics, the kind of squeeze you want for clean rhythm, country chicken-pickin', or evening out a fingerstyle passage.

Sustainer Mode: preserves the initial attack and extends note bloom. This is the mode that makes the FGC unusual: blues players, slide players, and anyone who relies on pick dynamics can use it without losing the front end of the note.

A solid choice as a permanent always-on or as a dedicated tool for cleaner, more dynamic passages.
