TME is happy to welcome the new Iris Guitars "WE" model into the fold: it's their first take on a traditional OM body shape.
In keeping with the basis for the original OM design, the WE offers as much power as a small-bodied guitar is capable of producing. It responds quickly and strongly to a flatpick, and sustains effortlessly in alternate tunings, producing a clear, direct sound ideal for recording work.
This particular WE--it should be stated again--is a very powerful and punchy guitar. It'd be a perfect OM for a flat picker looking for a dreadnought alternative! Yet the voice is not overly bright; and the treble strings retain beautiful fatness all the way up the neck.
Priced with hardshell case from Iris. A note on the model nomenclature from Iris: "The WE is named for luthier Will Ehster, continuing our tradition of building every model around the people who build them. Steady, precise, and never showy, Will's fingerprints are on more Iris guitars than he'd ever admit. Now his initials are on one too."
