The Volga Preamp captures the exact voice of a specific Sovtek MIG 50 - crystal cleans, natural breakup, and amp-like feel in a pedal built with obsessive precision.

The Volga Preamp sets out to do one thing with total conviction: recreate the voice of the Sovtek MIG 50 in pedal form. Not an approximation, not a loose interpretation - a meticulous, circuit-level recreation of a specific amp's character, down to the serial number. The reference point here is a MIG 50, and every JFET in the Volga has been individually voiced, paired, and biased to match its exact frequency response. That level of obsession tends to produce remarkable results.

The tonal character reflects the amp faithfully. Crystal clean headroom, a touch of natural compression, and amp-like breakup that arrives gradually and sounds earned rather than forced. Low end harmonics are generous without becoming unwieldy, and the midrange punches with real authority when you want it to.

The three-way channel switch lets you run Channel I alone for warmth, Channel II alone for brightness, or both together for something in between, each voicing a distinct personality drawn directly from the original amp's two channels. The three-band EQ and presence control behave exactly as they would on the amp itself, which is the most important thing to understand about dialing this in. Think amp, not pedal - and everything will make sense immediately.
