This 1965 Gibson Southern Jumbo is just in on trade! Made early in 1965, this guitar retains the wider 1 11/16" nut width; and after a setup in our shop it's playing beautifully up and down the neck. This is a very warm-sounding example of a 60's SJ. And if you're in the singer-songwriter camp, looking for a do-it-all vintage guitar, and don't mind a few war wounds, this guitar deserves serious consideration. The sound is lovely and well-defined whether strummed or flatpicked; and the guitar's dry voice sits perfectly under a vocal.
Condition: There are two top cracks, which have been repaired long ago. The original saddle has been replaced. The surfaces of the guitar show the expected dings, playwear, and lacquer checking you'd expect to see on a guitar like this. If you ask us, these elements only add to the instrument's gorgeous aesthetic. Priced with chipboard case.
