This 1935 Gibson Roy Smeck Stage Deluxe may well be the loudest guitar in our shop at the moment! It's crack free, and has long ago been converted to 'Spanish' from its original Hawaiian setup, sporting a full thickness, vintage-appropriate, yet nicely playable, neck carve. Our friend and colleague, Mark Stutman, of Folkway Music, has also worked on the guitar, replacing the bridge & bridgeplate, and setting it up for spot-on intonation. This is a powerhouse rhythm guitar, with a warm, dark voice, that'd make an incredible old-time back-up instrument for the player anchoring a stringband. Priced with hardshell case.
