Gibson Murphy Lab '64 ES-335 Cherry Danocaster Makeover (USED, 2024)
Semi-Hollow · Used
Give this one a close look - you'll notice that it isn't your typical Murphy Lab 335. TN-based Dan Strain of Danocaster fame got his hands on this guitar and gave it his rarely offered "makeover" treatment, taking the factory aging to its authentic limits with the artistry and vibe Dan's guitars have been known for. Just when you thought these guitars couldn't look any better... Another great upgrade comes in the way of a pair of Tone Specific 57/61 PAF humbuckers. These are some of the best aftermarket PAF style pickups on the market today, and they sound unbelievable in this guitar! The original Gibson Custombuckers are included with the guitar for posterity, but you'd be hard pressed to have the urge to pull the Tone Specifics out of the guitar.
This one shows very little in terms of actual distinguishable play wear beyond the Murphy Lab and Danocaster aging. Frets are in excellent shape and the setup is great!
Includes OHSC and COA, with the latter being signed by Dan Strain.
