Ace guitarist, singer, and songwriter Lee Roy Parnell knows a thing or two about getting great guitar tones. Fortunately for us, Lee Roy and Gibson teamed up to produce a limited run of '57 Goldtop Les Pauls, modeled after Lee Roy's beloved Goldtop.
Designed with players in mind, many of the tweaks Lee Roy has made to his own guitars are found on his signature model - it's loaded with a set of Ron Ellis LRP Humbuckers, vintage CTS potentiometers and NOS capacitors, an extended cutaway which gives you better access to the upper frets of the guitar, and a "Big Block" pickup cavity (which leaves more wood in the pickup cavities resulting in enhanced resonance and tone).
Condition: Excellent. In truth, it's near mint but when you give it a thorough once over you'll nice a few very superficial marks on the back and one small indentation near the rear strap button / input jack. The frets are close to new.
It's easy to see why these are so sought after! This is one of the cooler LP's we've had pass through the shop in a long time! Priced with hardshell case.
