Product information
1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in original Cherry Sunburst just in on trade!
The historic single-cut solidbody began its "Deluxe" journey at the end of the 1960s and carried into the 1970s before the reintroduction of the "Standard" in 1974. The mini humbuckers offer some excellent chime and airiness unique to their design, bridging the gap between the fullness of a true humbucker and the snap of a single-coil pickup (a la Telecaster).
It's got a light to moderate amount of honest play wear throughout, with various small nicks, dings, and scuffs one could expect to find on a guitar of this age. We replaced the original worn frets in house with Jescar 45100 fretwire, and the playability is spot on with comfortable low action.
The original input jack plate was replaced with a metal version, and the stopbar tailpiece was swapped out at some point. Otherwise all of the electronics are original to the guitar as are the plastics (pickguard, knobs).
The guitar is accompanied by its original purple-lined hardshell case.
