The sound of this L-5 is what archtop aficionados crave -- huge, woody, and clear, without any of the brashness too-often found in newly constructed instruments made in this style.
We sold this lovely 1947 Gibson L-5 about 15 years ago; and it's wonderful to see it again! It's in gorgeous, original condition; and it's been meticulously well-maintained since it was last in the shop. The sound is what archtop aficionados crave -- huge, woody, and clear, without any of the brashness too-often found in newly constructed instruments made in this style. Our shop has set the guitar up anew, and it plays beautifully under tension of medium-gauge strings (with room to adjust the action to suit the next owner). Priced with an equally nice original hard case. On consignment; shipping calculated at checkout.
