This is a particularly warm-sounding L-0 that will please anyone who's been hunting for a special 30's Gibson flattop.

Why We Love This

Small-bodied Gibsons as sweet as this 1939 L-0 are the instant envy of all who hear them. Their dry, midrangey sound may indeed conjure images of Woody Guthrie, but they're really versatile little guitars. They've got bass enough to be an old-time band's rhythmic foundation, and a sweet punchiness that makes them sensational flatpickers.

This particular L-0 is in beautiful original condition ~ except for a professional re-fret, it's unmodified in any way, crack-free, and boasting a clean, original finish to boot. We're suckers for firestripe pickguards on a jet black finish, and the pairing on this guitar is one we'll always remember. This is a particularly warm-sounding L-0, with a super-comfortable neck, that will please anyone who's been hunting for a special 30's Gibson flattop. Priced with non-original 1960's hard case, which is handsome and fits the guitar well (see inset photo).
