The "Deluxe" models from this period combine features from Gibson and Martin body styles, resulting in a square-shouldered J-45 with a 25.4" scale.
This 1969 Gibson J-45 Deluxe had been with the owner from whom we acquired it since 1971. The "Deluxe" models from this period combine features from Gibson and Martin body styles, resulting in a square-shouldered J-45 with a 25.4" scale. The sound is also somewhat of a mashup, with a more scooped midrange than Gibsons are known for and a bit more boom in the low end as well. This example is in good overall condition for its age, with significant lacquer checking across its body alongside a smattering of dings and playwear. The original saddle has been removed, the bridge's slot filled and recut, and a bone saddle installed. Priced with its original hard case.
