Gibson H-2 Mandola (1915)
Vintage
The quintessential Gibson oval hole mandola sound, at once super warm, characterful, and clear in voice.
A lot to love in this H-2, foremost the super inviting, rich tone, a magical combination of wide-open, aged character and reverberant resonance. The looks are to die for as well, as we are, admittedly, suckers for the beautifully engraved Handel tuners set against the classic black top. One old, long-ago repaired back crack, otherwise very good overall condition, with all the original hardware. Setup in house with a new, bone saddle, it is sounding its best.
