The Gibson Grabber bass took the 1970s by storm, bringing some competition into the long-scale electric bass market Fender had dominated for the better part of 20 years. Maple (or Alder) bodied with a bolt-on Maple neck, there was no denying Gibson's motives.
This 1977 Grabber is a lovely sounding and playing mid-period example, and features the unique sliding pickup design that makes these basses so deceptively versatile. The Natural finish is a fan favorite, showing off some nice grain in the Alder body. The beveled body contouring makes it quite comfortable to play, and the Maple neck has a wonderful round C profile with a nice meaty taper.
This bass has been very well-maintained and free of any modifications. Condition is Excellent-, with only minor signs of play wear throughout. It also includes its original Gibson hardshell case which is in equally clean condition.
