Rare, natural finish, original hardware, and a modern EVO refret make for an enticing player and a great value in a vintage oval-hole F mandolin.

Why We Love This

This great sounding, vintage F-2 just got a new lease on life, thanks to a pro, EVO-wire refret and setup. Strange as it may seem, the refret seems to have enhanced the lively voice of the mandolin. Playability is, of course, outstanding. We are suckers for the older, bulb-post Handel engraved tuners, still functioning well at well over 100 years old. Plenty of typical playwear, and stable surface cracks (below scroll and at lower-bount point), but otherwise in very good overall condition.

Please note: Used instruments are, well, used. We pride ourselves on thoroughly vetting, and carefully photographing, each pre-owned instrument we sell, but many of them carry subtle signs of handling that can escape even the most discerning eye. If you have questions about the condition of this instrument, we invite you to call us for an in-hand description. We're here to help!

Pre-Owned Instruments | Have Questions?
We take great care in accepting only the highest quality pre-owned instruments for resale in our shop, then carefully photograph and describe each instrument to ensure what you see on our site is exactly what you'll receive. Many of these instruments carry subtle signs of handling that can escape even the most discerning eye, so if you have questions about the condition of this instrument, we invite you to call us for an in-hand description. We're always happy to help!
