Years before Loar, and decades before Monroe, this is what a great F-style mandolin looked and sounded like. A century later, it still captivates!
This F2 offers everything we love about a 'teens Gibson F4, with a slightly pared-down aesthetic and the concomitant lower price point. This mandolin still makes a striking impression, from the classy, black top to the engraved Handel tuners. The real appeal is in the sound, though. Vintage Gibson mandolins vary quite a bit sonically. This one sounds great, hitting the Goldilocks sweet spot between warm and articulate. Not too dark, not too bright. It is setup quite nicely too, making for a very pleasing player, as much as it is a collectible vintage instrument.
Priced with a modern tweed case, and includes a vintage tooled-leather bonus case as well!
