Where condition and tone intersect at excellence - a near perfect example of the famous mid 50s hollowbody archtop.

Why We Love This

So clean we did a collective double take!

We originally sold this super clean 1957 Gibson ES-175 about five years ago to a longtime customer of ours, and he's since moved onto another piece and has decided to part with it.

It's definitely one of the most well-preserved examples you're likely to come by, and yet plays and sounds like a top performer that has done anything but hang out in its case. A fantastic playing mid 50s carve neck with the original frets plays wonderfully, and the original dogear P90 pickup has a strong yet sweet tonality perfect for jazz and blues.

The only thing not original to this guitar? The tailpiece. The original suffered a crack at the bend on the body edge, so we installed a replacement to keep things functional. The original tailpiece is included in the sale.

Priced with aftermarket hardshell case.
Condition: Vintage. Fully inspected and set up by TME staff before it ships or leaves the showroom.
