1964 Gibson EB-0 Bass just in!

We call this look "Storefront NOS". Seriously - this EB-0 looks almost time-capsule new! Outside of the light fading on the front of the body and some patina on the nickel-plated hardware, this carries the look of a modern VOS Gibson.

Think of the EB-0 model like the Junior of Gibson's short scale electric basses. Simplistic, single pickup function, minimally appointed, yet rich with tone and response. Yes, the famously nicknamed "mudbucker" has tremendous low and low-mid response and output, but thanks to those highly interactive volume and tone controls, you've got a lot of tonal color at your fingertips.

This is simply an exquisite example of this model, with desirable features like nickel hardware and a very comfortable C neck that mimics many of the great electric guitars Gibson produced in 1959. The original fretwire is in nice shape, and the overall geometry of the guitar is great.

The guitar was originally housed in an original Gibson chipboard case, but it has since been moved to a modern Gibson hardshell for better protection and ease of transit.

It bears repeating that this bass is among the cleanest you'll find of this model on the market today. It shows some light finish scuffs and a few very small pock marks on the back of the body. The pickguard has shrunken slightly, causing a partial break in the upper corner. There's a small amount of contact rash on the back of the neck as well, primarily in the 9-12th fret area.
