Gibson A2Z (1924)
Vintage
A Loar-era heirloom, and the most sought-after of the vintage Gibson A model mandolins
Why We Love This
For many, the A2Z is the ultimate vintage oval-hole mandolin. It has all the full openness and sustain of a 'teens-era Gibson, but with a modern, narrower nut width, an adjustable truss rod and two-piece bridge/saddle. Whereas so many earlier oval holes can be tubby and undefined, this A2Z has great focus and superior projection. Folks, this is a great one! This A2Z comes to us from a longtime client. There is some wear to the top, but otherwise presents in very good overall condition.
