Product information

1971 Fender Telecaster in original Olympic White finish just into the shop on consignment!

As far as CBS Era Fenders go, early 70s builds like this are really not much different than their later 60s counterparts. The nice full C neck (bordering on 50s profile here, albeit with a leaner taper) and beautifully aged Olympic White finish give off a very 50s vibe altogether.

It's got the classic tele bite with a little extra zing on top due to the original 1 Meg pots. Using the bridge pickup with the tone backed off a bit warms and fattens things right up, and if you want more clarity in the neck position, you've got plenty on tap.

This guitar is in nice shape and mostly original save for a refret and replaced nut. Pickups and electronics are original to the guitar, as is the finish. There are some larger dings and divots in the back of the body closer to the lower bout, which is where we found the most wear on the guitar.

This '71 could easily go toe-to-toe with some of the earlier mid/late 60s examples, and at a pretty amazing value to boot.

Priced with original hardshell case.
