Fender Telecaster, Blonde 274140 (1969)
T-Style · Single Coils Pickups · Vintage
As far as late 60s Fenders go, this Tele ranks high in our growing list of Golden Era electrics. Its light weight, great neck feel, and classic tele tone with great output and response make it any easier choice for someone who yearns for a vintage Fender at a great price point. This is a very clean and mostly original example, with the only notable change being the tone potentiometer. The original pickups sound great, with their punchy, bright, and slightly microphonic tone that make for a lively and responsive electric.
The neck profiles from this era are some of our favorites, with a slightly fuller first position profile and a nice moderate taper that feels very natural as you move up the neck. The original fretwire remains in nice shape and offers great vintage feel without compromising playability.
The guitar is accompanied by an era-correct hardshell case with the tail-less Fender logo (generally seen on cases from 1966-1967), and includes its original ashtray bridge cover as well.
