Product information

A super clean example of perhaps the most beloved year for Blackguard Era Telecasters, this 1953 build is as sweet sounding as it is good looking.

1953 Fender Telecaster # 4904 in original Blonde finish just into the shop on consignment!

In the world of Blackguard Era telecasters, few have remained as clean and complete as this '53 we recently welcomed into the shop. A Spring '53 build (from April 21 to May 4), it's got all the hallmarks of what make these guitars so special. A wonderful Soft V neck carve, lightweight Ash body, and two amazing sounding original single coil pickups.

This guitar has remained largely unchanged since it left Fullerton, with the only real change made being a clip of the dark cap. It still remains attached to the original harness should its next owner decide to revert it back to true original spec.

The original Blonde finish is bright and vibrant while showing off the beautiful woodgrain of the Ash body. The neck shows the typical fingerboard wear in the first few chord positions, but is overall very clean with little back wear to show, and original frets still intact.

All hardware and plastics are original to the guitar, including the bakelite pickguard.

Paired with a custom Calton case.
