1954 Fender 5D2 Princeton just in! A fabulous compact Tweed Fender combo that has remained mostly original throughout its life. This particular amp appears to have come off the production line at the end of 1954, with a tube chart stamped 'DK' indicating it was completed in or around November of that year.
The amp has had some recent service history to ensure it's working properly, including a recap, a replaced tone on/off pot, and a 3-prong power cord. The Oxford 8" speaker likely came from a similar amp in 1958 and has also been reconed, but sounds right at home in this amp.
These early wide panel combos break up beautifully with rich saturation and bloom, and they excel in studio settings or smaller gigs.
Condition: Very Good+. Normal wear and tear for a 70 year old amplifier.
