Fender Jazzmaster Black/Sunburst (1961)

This is one of the best vintage restorations we've seen on a Fender, period. First off, let's just give this glorious offset its flowers for the amazing feel, weight, and tone it has. And how about that Black over Sunburst finish done by Coop Guitars?! Get outta here!
This is a perfect player's vintage Jazzmaster, retaining all the goodies that make these an instant grab for more than obvious reasons. Weighing just about 7 3/4 lbs, it's sitting in a real sweet spot in terms of weight, which definitely has an impact on the acoustic resonance and liveliness. And these pickups sound incredible! Clear and open high fidelity response that's super sweet sounding and responds really well to tonal adjustments and right hand attack. The guitar's neck was refinished a few years back, which included installation of a repro decal. The old Klusons were also replaced with some Fender "F Stamp" tuners as well. Old mounting holes were plugged up in the process.
The slim oval C neck has a nice fat taper like many Fenders from the early 60s, and the rich Brazilian Rosewood slab fingerboard looks and feels fantastic. Chicago Music Exchange refretted the neck and the work was very well done.
