Fender Jazz Bass, Sunburst (1975)
Long Scale (Bass) · Vintage
The Sunburst body and Black pickguard might seem like your standard issue aesthetic, but when a Maple board with pearl block inlays enters the picture, it's anything but!
This 10.5lb Jazz Bass is no collector piece, but what it might lack in originality it absolutely makes up in tone and vibe. The bass first came to us with its original neck - an equally nice bound Maple w/ Rosewood and blocks - compromised. The original truss rod had broken and been previously replaced; this new rod wasn't installed well enough to be able to function properly. We sourced this beauty of an all-Maple neck to take its place, and it's become the perfect substitute. Despite the neck swap and some hardware changes, it's a fantastic sounding and playing bass. The original pickups provide plenty of punch and output, and that Maple neck has a nice round profile that works well with the narrower J nut width, giving it a slightly fuller feel.
Paired with a hardshell case.
