Finished with period-correct hardware and tasteful relic work, this is a golden-era Strat with Custom Shop quality - ready for the stage, studio, or your forever collection.
This Fender Custom Shop '62 Stratocaster Relic is a masterfully built tribute to one of the most iconic guitars of the early '60s, built for players who want the look, feel, and tone of the real thing without compromise (or price re: vintage example!).
The lightweight, two-piece alder body is finished in a very cool Aged Seminole Red (relic'd nitro) for optimal resonance (thin nitro finishes are always desirable for this reason) and a naturally aged look that feels right at home from the first chord. A quartersawn maple neck with a comfortable '60s Oval "C" profile and a 3A rosewood fingerboard delivers a great worn-in feel - a very accurate feeling carve and definitely a highlight of this build - while the compound 7.25"–9.5" radius and vintage-style frets keep playability smooth and intuitive.
The hand-wound Custom Shop Fat '60s pickups offer sweet, snappy Strat tones with a wide range of vintage-accurate textures - just beefed up a touch - made even more versatile thanks to the Vintage Modified #2 wiring with Greasebucket tone control.
